In November 2023, I was privileged to attend the launch of a brand-new book by Gemma & Robert Ross entitled 'Carry On Girls' which includes a glossary and photograph of all the girls ever featured in Carry On movies.
I am on two pages (182 & 113 with the fellow nurse Kenneth Cope)
I now regularly appear at many 'Carry On' Conventions and love meeting all fans who come along.
I was very privileged to work alongside some very talented and funny people who were working together for a long time. Despite that they still made all of us feel like “one of the gang”, even though we were not always there for all the movies.
My father, Leslie Collins, was a celebrated double bass musician and a member of the orchestra that Peter Rogers often employed for these films. They were featured in the now very famous dinner party climax of “Carry On.. Up the Khyber”' and I was there watching. A witness to history. Movie history !
